St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival in Melton Mowbray

This year we are entering the St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival in our local town, Melton Mowbray. The festival is all about raising money for charities and the refurbishment of the church.

Last year, a record of 1,378 trees were displayed in the church by many businesses, organisations and schools for the public to see which raised over £23,000! Everyone battles to have the most unique tree and stand out from the crowd.

Our Christmas Tree is themed ‘Bath Repair Kit’ and features the kits themselves propped up on the tree with the company colour theme of red and blue.

The organiser, Ian Neale has said:

“Months of planning and hard work have gone into this year’s Christmas Tree Festival where a mixture of businesses, schools and organisations gather in the church to weave their magic and try to create new and original themes for their trees. The event is now in its fifteenth year and this year’s event runs from Friday, December 1st until Tuesday, December 5th. Each year our beautiful church is transformed with hundreds of decorated trees from individuals and businesses in the area and people come from far and wide to see the spectacle.”
